Karima Boutaleb,
Senior Lighting Engineer
As a lighting engineer, Karima complements her technical proficiency with her bright artistic spirit. For her, Architectural design is about telling a story, the who, the why, and the where of a space.
As a part of the architectural story, light, more than any tangible design element, has the most visceral effect on the way people experience an environment. Lighting creates mood, movement, atmosphere, and direction. It can keep us awake and productive, or quiet our minds. But, at the end of the day, light has to help tell the correct story, and Karima loves the challenges each projects faces her with.
